Lead Product Designer · Helixintel

Building products and
teams that scale.

Over fifteen years I’ve built design teams and systems for complex B2B products. Most recently at Helixintel. Before that, Kangarootime, AirExpert, and ACV Auctions in the years before its IPO. I want to make software that’s worth opening, and I want to build design teams where the quality bar doesn’t depend on me being in the room. The work I’m proudest of is the kind that survives turnover.

From Nested Modals to Confident Maintenance Workflows

Enterprise SaaS · Research Leadership · Lead Product Designer · 2024

Helixintel’s enterprise insurance clients were losing confidence in the platform’s most-used screen. I built the research case for a year-long redesign, secured executive sponsorship, and led it to ship. 60% fewer abandoned tasks. 90% fewer support tickets on that flow.

The best design teams compound. They keep getting better when you’re not in the room.

Building teams and systems that last.

Fifteen years in, the pattern I keep coming back to is this: teams that scale are the ones whose principles outlast their headcount. Systems that don’t drift after the senior designer moves on. Hiring rubrics that catch the right people without me in every interview. I spend most of my time on that layer now. Less on the screens, more on what shapes the screens.

Always glad to talk shop. Design teams, systems, a hard product problem you’re working through.
